I agree; certain situations concerning moral actions are uncomfortable or painful but may be necessary to endure. In the movie about Alan Turing starring Benedict Cumberpatch, intelligence concerning a Nazi strategy had to be withheld to prevent the Nazi’s from discovering the Enigma program, even though it would cost the lives of Allied forces

So is there another example for “good” pain except gym, surgery, massage? The good pain is cool concept but I think it’s very limited in our experience

Dima, there is a variety of mentally painful, or at least uncomfortable situations that fall into the same category. For instance the pain of studying for an exam because the long-term goal, a college degree, may be worth it. And so on.

Difficult at times to balance between (necessary) pain and (excessive) pleasure. Best to have another glass of wine while thinking it over.
